We’ve got a little Black Friday surprise release… and by “little,” we mean that literally.
One of our rye barrels started leaking a while back. And then it… didn’t stop. At first it was frustrating. We tried what we could, but the barrel had other ideas. What remained inside that barrel turned out darker and richer than anything we expected.
When we finally pulled it, that stubborn barrel gave us just 54 bottles—the smallest single barrel run we’ve ever done. And it's coming in hot at 130 proof!
This is also our first (and very likely only) Single Barrel Rye. Our Distiller's Select Single Barrel series is typically reserved for bourbon, which makes this one even more of an outlier (and a bit of a once-in-a-lifetime release!).
We also realize there are far more than 54 of you reading this email, so in the interest of fairness, purchases will be limited to one bottle per person.
So naturally, we gave this one a fitting name: Black Rye Day!
This is the darkest rye we’ve ever pulled from a barrel, and it will be released on Black Friday, November 29th.
